Abstract

The traditional cash waqf system has transformed with the revolution of financial technology. Waqf-based crowdfunding offers a wide range of advantages to raise funds with no upfront fee. This paper attempts to show the factors that determine the adoption of waqf-based crowdfunding platform among the undergraduate students. This the first paper that offers a conceptual framework on the adoption of the waqf-based crowdfunding platform. The discussion of this paper is based on the extension of the Technology Acceptance Model with perceived benefit. This paper provides new insights on the waqf-based crowdfunding platform. Being limited to a conceptual approach, this study lacks empirical evidence. Finally, future work should confirm and validate these findings.
